FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions for Parents

Support for teen girls, young women and female athletes

How do I know if my daughter needs support?

It can be difficult to know when what she is feeling is “normal stress” versus something that would benefit from additional support.

Some common signs include:

  •   Frequent worrying or overthinking

  •   Irritability or emotional outbursts

  •   Increased perfectionism

  •   School or athletic pressure changes in sleep or appetite withdrawing from freins or family

  •   Low confidence or harsh self-talk

  •   Difficulty managing transitions or uncertainty

If she seems overwhelmed stuck, or not quite herself, support can help.

Often families reach out before things become more serious, and early support can make a meaningful difference.

Do you take Insurance for therapy sessions?

I do not take insurance for therapy sessions. If you reside or go to college in PA. I do provide Superbills that are coded for insurance reimbursement if your carrier takes out-of-network providers for mental health services.

On the 2nd of every month you will receive a Superbill by email or can access it in your patient portal.  You can receive a Super Bill earlier if needed.  Call the number on the back of your card and ask them if they take out-of-network providers.  If they do, I can help you with the rest.

Clients will be required to have a valid credit or debit card securely stored in my billing system. Your card will be automatically charged at the time of each appointment.

The STEADY Program and Individual Coaching Sessions are not covered by insurance.

What is the difference between therapy and the STEADY program?

This is one of the most common questions.

Individual Therapy

Ongoing therapy is the best fit when your daughter needs consistent support for anxiety, emotional regulation, confidence, or deeper therapeutic work over time.

Sessions are typically weekly and allow for continued support and growth.

Investment: $150 per session

STEADY 1:1

The STEADY program is a focused 4-week intensive designed for girls and athletes who need short-term support around confidence, transitions, emotional steadiness, and managing pressure.

This is often a wonderful fit during:

  • school transitions

  • sports transitions

  • confidence rebuilding

  • stressful life periods

Investment: $697

What is the STEADY group?

The STEADY group is a small seasonal cohort for girls who benefit from connection and peer support.

Groups are limited to 6 participants and focus on:

  • confidence

  • anxiety management

  • emotional regulation

  • transitions

  • athlete mindset

  • self-trust

These are typically offered in summer and winter off-season months.

Investment: $497

Do you work with athletes?

Yes — this is one of my specialty areas.

I work with female athletes who are navigating:

  • performance anxiety

  • confidence struggles

  • pressure and fear of mistakes

  • club and team transitions

  • recruiting stress

  • injury recovery mindset

  • Identity beyond sport

My goal is to help athletes feel steady under pressure and more confident in themselves.

How long do clients typically work with you?

This depends on the type of support.

Therapy

Many clients begin with weekly sessions and continue as long as support feels helpful.

STEADY 1:1

This is a 4-week structured experience.

After completion, some clients transition into occasional or ongoing individual sessions.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes.

All sessions are online making it easier for families and athletes to access support from home. Therapy is only available throughout Pennsylvania.

How do we get started?

The best first step is to complete the inquiry form or schedule a consultation.

From there, I will help guide you toward the option that feels like the best fit.

What if I am not sure which option is best?

That is completely okay.

Many families are unsure at first.

I am happy to help determine whether therapy, STEADY 1:1, or the group would be most supportive.
